It's quite simple actually. Being consistent with your marketing will always give you extra miles against the competition. But, you have to be consistent. Too often people throw in the towel after a short period of time. You need at least 6 months of consistent advertising to get people to notice you. Here are some tips for your online presence.

Brand Marketing Tip 1: Fonts
Select a general font that's not too uncommon, but common enough to convert over all devices. There are many beautiful fonts out there, but if a reader cannot see it, it doesn't do justice to your internet marketing. Over time, people will recognize you by the font style you use. Anytime you communicate, whether it's online or on paper, always use the same fonts. Over time, your audience will be able to recognize you by your fonts. Who doesn't recall the font that Nike uses or Carl’s Jr. for example? You can see their brand in your mind as you read this as well as the colors they use to represent themselves.

Brand Marketing Tip 2: Colors
Speaking of colors, you want to be consistent with the same color palette as well. Choose the same main colors in your marketing, using the same choices with at least 3 colors, but no more than 5. Make sure your palette makes sense. Some colors look horrible together! Write down the color code and save it so the color is always exact!

Brand Marketing Tip 3: Repetition
Do you have a slogan? Is there something you strongly believe in such as a phrase or saying or a nice quote? If I said "Just do it" would you know who those words belonged to? Or who do you think of when you hear a famous quote? What stands out to you about a person or a brand? If you don't already have something, try thinking of a way to stand out and be different (see what I did there?) so that you are most likely to pop up in someone's mind during the day!

So, what about you? What are some of the things you can start today to get that brand association connected to you? Here's a perfect example. I like to visit a local coffee shop and when I do, I post a photo of my coffee onto social media. The designs are amazing and I'm always fascinated. I intentionally placed a similar stock photo of the coffee design to create an association. Eventually when you see this coffee, you'll think of me if you follow me on social media (which you should! It's got some great tips!) which will in turn remind you that you need some help with your online marketing!
